Product description

The color is very deep ruby red with soft nuances. Subtle sweet bread aromas are the first impression on the nose, followed by spices, raisins, black chocolate, black currants and berries. Soft and round body with ripe, velvety tannins, long, elegant and juicy finish. A very attractive wine with good aging potential, ready to drink now. Excellent with fine meat dishes: Chicken, pheasant, duck, rabbit and pork. Can also be served with some desserts with intense cocoa flavor.

Tasting Notes:

Beautiful ruby color. Intense, impressive nose of ripe blackberries, sweet spices, earthy tones, cocoa and caramel. Juicy, medium to full-bodied with attractive notes of ripe blackberries, black currants and cherries. Elegant freshness and very long, velvety finish.

We recommend opening the wine about an hour before consumption to allow it to develop all the fullness of its aromas.

Grape variety: 50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Region:
The Thracian Plain is part of the large southern Bulgarian wine region. It is well protected from cold winds north of the Balkan Mountains and further from the south central part of the Rhodopes.

Climate and soil:
Temperate with over 3,000 hours of sunshine during the year and over 110 clear days. Hot, dry summers with warm nights. Soft and warm winters without spring frosts. Sandy-loamy and calcareous soils.

Harvest:
Careful selective hand harvest in crates followed by sorting of the grapes in the winery.

Vinification:
Cold maceration at 10ºC for 8 days. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in inox vats at a controlled temperature of 27ºC . Infusion after fermentation. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Aging in oak barrels.
