Domaine Boyar - a new beginning of the wine culture of Bulgaria
Domaine Boyar is one of the wine pioneers in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1991 as the first privately owned winery after the fall of socialism. In the meantime, Domaine Boyar has become one of the market leaders from the Balkan country and is represented on international markets not only in Europe, but also in America and Asia. The wine production at Domaine Boyar is divided into two parts. On the one hand, it takes place on the vineyard "Sinite Skali", in German "Blue Rocks". It is located on the edge of the Balkan Mountains in an area that already belongs to the Upper Thracian Plain. The name comes from a natural monument nearby. Sinite Skali is characterized by high technical standards as well as capacities that are in the top range in Eastern and Central Europe. For often limited exclusivity, on the other hand, stands the second Domaine Boyar winery in the village of Korten, located not far from the town of Nowa Zagora in the central Bulgarian oblast of Sliven. It is the place of origin of Domaine Boyar's boutique wines. These are made from grapes that come from strictly selected single vineyards and find their way to the winery by hand harvesting.

The branding of Domaine Boyar's boutique wines is done through the Solitaire label. The drops from this series are characterized not only by hand harvesting from selected vineyards. The grapes are also fermented with special care in small oak barrels. Already in this process, a wine personality with a strong character begins to emerge.

Behind the Solitaire Rakija Limited Edition is a particularly ambitious concept. A select Solitaire wine was produced from the best grapes of the harvest. It reflects in a special way the varietal expression of the grape variety Muscat as well as its terroir. To further enhance its uniqueness, it underwent further refinement through distillation. It succeeded in concentrating the fine fruit structure into a mature elegance. But that was not enough. Now the brandy was to be given sufficient time to mature. For this purpose, it came for more than 5 years in ideal conditions in a specially selected oak barrel and was only then bottled in a limited edition. Out of the bottle, the Solitaire Rakija Limited Edition from Domaine Boyar, as noble as it is old, presents itself with a fragrant bouquet of dates and raisins, which continues in the mouth and leads to an impressive finish.
