Романът е писан от жена за жена и е проява на женското възприемане за света. Героинята е млада жена, която след развода със съпруга си, заможен руснак, остава да живее в неговата галерия в София. Чрез изкуството тя се опитва да намери себе си, смятайки, че така може да запълни празнотата в живота си.
Чрез различни образи героинята нарцистично се оглежда като в огледало и така проумява смисъла на всеки спомен и на всяка несполука, като ги превръща в потенциал за оцеляване и метаморфоза. Отвореният край създава предпоставка за още метаморфози извън текста и сюжета, които неизбежно остават за читателя.
The novel is written by a woman as a woman and is a manifestation of the female perception of the world. The heroine is a young woman who, after her divorce, lives with her husband, a wealthy Russian, in his gallery in Sofia. Through art she tries to find herself and thinks that she can fill the emptiness in her life.
The heroine narcissistically appears through various images like a mirror, capturing the meaning of each memory and failure, making it a potential for survival and metamorphosis. The open ending creates a premise for more metamorphoses beyond the text and plot that remain inevitable for the reader.
