Mastika Peshtera is a light aperitif from the large family of world famous anise aperitifs.

This sublime temptation is made from a special recipe of high quality alcohol and a gentle touch of anise oil, which when cooled forms the crystals typical of Mastika. Anise oil is known for its stimulating, refreshing and toning effect (also known as an aphrodisiac) and its unique exotic taste.

Peschterska Mastika fits like a perfect love affair with delicious traditional Bulgarian vegetables and snow-white cheese, so it reveals its full flavor in combination with traditional Bulgarian Schopska salad.

Traditionally, Mastika is drunk with Schopska salad diluted with water, so it gets its typical milky color.
