Seductive aromas of quince paired with elegant vanilla.

The Isperih region in northeastern Bulgaria is known for fruity, elegant and exceedingly harmonious fruit brandies. Quince Rakia is no exception. Two different varieties of quince from the Dobrich region are used in its production, namely Asenitza and Pazardjik apple quince.

The s'mores of the typical Bulgarian varieties are allowed to remain on the trees until they are really ripe - this gives the fruit brandy its full, fruity aroma with the slight sweetness of the fruit. The long aging in oak barrels gives the Rakia a gentle vanilla note and provides smoky nuances in the finish. 16° to 18° C is the optimal temperature to enjoy this harmonious and elegant fruit brandy. About 10 kg of quince are in one bottle of Isperih Quince Rakia.
