Product description

Slavyantsi Leva Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a combination of two harmonious grape varieties from the Valley of Roses. This fruity, dry red wine from the Bulgarian vineyards Vinex Slavyantsi has an intense and vivid color. It displays a range of aromas from blackcurrants to cassis and fruity notes of wild red fruits. The well-integrated wood tones of oak make it a well-structured, velvety smooth wine, with memorable finish.

A Slavyantsi Leva Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a perfect companion to red meat, game, pizza, pasta and cheese.

This popular dry red wine is a composition of aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Its soft, slightly fruity taste of wild red fruits makes it an ideal wine with Mediterranean meals. Its bouquet convinces in a vine-typical way with fine roasted aromas as well as aromas of black currant, green bell pepper and well-integrated oak. LEVA Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot is a good wine for all occasions.

Grapes from the Rose Valley in Bulgaria
The growing area of LEVA Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is located in the south of Bulgaria, in the Rose Valley. The valley at the edge of the Balkan Mountains was named after the rose cultivation, which has been cultivated for centuries and produces 85% of the world's rose oil. During the harvest period from May to June, the Rose Valley is enveloped in a lovely rose fragrance. Harvesting the plants requires great skill and care and is therefore traditionally the task of women who carefully gather them into woven wicker baskets. In this warm environment, besides wonderfully fragrant roses, grow the grapes of a distinctive wine, which became world famous thanks to the winery Vinex Slavyantsi.

The Vinex Slavyantsi Winery
Slavyantsi is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. According to archaeological findings, wine has been grown and traded in the warm climate of the region since ancient times. The cultivation and enjoyment of wine has such a long tradition here that in the Middle Ages wine cellars were installed in almost every house.

Today, the Slavyantsi Winery consists of four wineries (Slavyantsi, Sungurlare, Lozarevo and Karnobat), which produce about 150,000 hectoliters of wine, vermouth and brandy annually with highly technical equipment. Sterile bottling lines and oak barrels with a total capacity of about 300,000 hectoliters guarantee consistently high quality.

Ideal with meat and vegetables.
Wine connoisseurs enjoy LEVA Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot with chicken, lamb or beef, tuna, duck or pasta with tomato sauce. Cheeses such as Danablu, Brie, Camembert, Gouda or Cheddar also harmonize wonderfully with the fruity red wine from the Rose Valley. The ideal drinking temperature is 16 to 18°C.
