This impressive Chardonnay comes from the eastern growing region of Bulgaria, which stretches along the Black Sea coast. In addition to the Dobrudsha Plain in the north, this also includes the Ludogorie Mountains as well as an approximately 25-30 kilometer wide strip along the Black Sea, which extends to the southern border of the country.

Thanks to the favorable climatic conditions, viticulture was already successfully practiced here in ancient times. In the mild climate, especially white grape varieties such as Aligote, Chardonnay, Dimiat, Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Muskat Ottonel, Riesling, Rkatsiteli and Traminer find favorable conditions. In addition, red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pamid are grown to a lesser extent. Targovishte has been one of the traditional cellar locations of this wine-growing region since ancient times.

Chardonnay Targovishte is characterized by its straw yellow color. It reminds of rich hay and shows some greenish reflections in the light. This wine impresses with the pleasant bouquet typical of the grape variety and presents itself on the palate extractive with rich fruit aromas, but at the same time well balanced and with light acidity.

Chardonnay Targovishte should be enjoyed well chilled. It is especially suitable as an accompaniment to poultry and other white meat, but also to fish and vegetable dishes.
