Sun-drenched grapes from vineyards near Pomorie serve as the basis for a drop of special elegance and finesse - the Original Pliska Brandy VSOP. The aging of this Bulgarian brandy takes seven years and produces a drink with a rich mahogany color, a beguiling bouquet of exquisite complexity and a wonderfully balanced, delicious taste.

For the Original Pliska Brandy VSOP, the producer Black Sea Gold combines distillates from the Dimyat and Ugni Blanc grape varieties. The Ugni Blanc vine is a popular white wine variety that originated in Tuscany, Italy and is still called Trebbiano. Ugni Blanc is also widely grown in the French region of Cognac and used for the world famous French brandy. In Brandy Pliska VSOP, the fully ripe Ugni Blanc grapes provide the distinctive warm, spicy brandy flavor. The addition of dimyat adds complexity to the drop. The Dimyat and Ugni Blanc distillates are aged for seven years in Strandzha oak barrels with capacities of between 450 and 600 liters. The extended aging in the noble wood allows the Original Pliska Brandy VSOP to develop its full potential and obtain delicious notes of vanilla and oak. The cuvée is then transferred to larger storage casks. Here, the brandy matures for another three months to achieve a harmonious and full-bodied finish. The result is a fine spirit with a wonderfully balanced taste and beguiling aromatic richness.

The seven-year-old brandy Pliska impresses with an attractive mahogany color. Its bouquet spreads pleasant chords of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, the brandy unfolds a soft, warm body. The accents of wood and vanilla merge on the tongue into a brilliant composition with a breathtaking finish. The nuances of sweet vanilla remain clearly present long after the first sip. Serve this special, well-aged brandy with fine desserts or as a delicious aperitif on special occasions. Pliska Brandy VSOP also tastes great with a cup of tea or coffee.
