Day and Night Ltd. is one of the largest wafer producers in Bulgaria.

Under the brand names Borovets, Day & Night and Yolli, the company produces a wide range of wafers and cookies, which differ in taste and size. All products are specially developed to meet the taste and requirements of global markets and the production meets the strictest European standards and quality requirements. The products are manufactured under several critical control mechanisms such as the HACCP system and follow the production and hygiene practices to EU standards.

In the Day and Night Ltd. plant in Gorna Oryahovitsa the HACCP system and Good Manufacturing and Hygiene Practices have been implemented to meet all the strict European quality standards and requirements for food production. Thus, the organization and production monitoring is carried out by the existing team of marketing managers, production management specialists, the HACCP team and the persons responsible for compliance with the food safety and control systems.

Day and Night Ltd. food safety and quality management systems are certified according to ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 22000: 2005.

In 2006, a new line for the production of wafers with and without chocolate coating was installed, which allowed a competent and appropriate response to market demand. In this way, the company has discovered new areas of development and in the near future there will be solutions for even better developments on the domestic and foreign markets.

Since 1998 the company has been producing and selling high quality confectionery products. The product that quickly gained popularity and became the market leader in the industry is the wafer Borovets. The company started as a small local enterprise, which quickly became successful nationwide, relying only on the tasty and high-quality wafers. The factory and production of Day and Night Ltd. meets the strict standards and quality requirements of the EU. The goods are produced in compliance with the hazard analysis and critical control point, as well as good production and hygiene practices at the factory. To maintain high standards and achieve perfect production technology, the company uses only materials of very high quality and guaranteed origin. The machines ordered for the plant in Gorna Oryahovitsa from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain are among the most modern in the world. In 2006, a new plant for the production of wafers with and without coating was put into operation, which enables a competent response to the daily increasing competition. The factory of Day and Night Ltd. is operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can produce 60 tons of waffles and 25 tons of cookies per 24 hours. The company offers more than 75 products under the brand names Borovets, Yuppie, Yolli and Day and Night. The product range is tailored to the specific needs and taste requirements of different consumers. The young spirit of the experienced team of Day and Night Ltd. enables the rapid development of new product varieties as well as maintaining the traditional taste of wafers for more than a decade.

Currently Day and Night Ltd. has 4 exclusive brands for the Polish, Slovak, Romanian and Turkish retail market. Day and Night Ltd. successfully exports products abroad and maintains good business relations with partners from Belgium, Cyprus, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Yemen, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, USA, Trinidad and Tobago and Turkey.

To ensure the high quality and safety of the products, Day and Night Ltd. has certified the production according to the strict standards and quality requirements of the food industry in the EU.

Day and Night Ltd. has implemented food safety and quality management systems according to ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 22000: 2005. The company is also a HALAL certified company, which means that the products can be consumed according to the Islamic religion.

The production organization and control is monitored and managed by a team of marketing managers, production managers, HACCP and food safety experts.

The company received the most votes from the respondents in a recent survey conducted by the Swiss organization ICERTIAS - International Certification Association GmbH. With the online questionnaire conducted in Bulgaria in January 2016 among 1,200 respondents, the QUDAL QUALITY Medal Bulgaria 2016/2017 took first place for quality in the category of wafers.

To maintain the good taste and high quality of the products, the technological base must be constantly improved and the best ingredients and raw materials on the market must be used.
At present, the average turnover is 40.000.000 wafers and cookies per month.

The equipment for the wafer production line is produced by the German companies HEBENSTREIT GmbH, BUHLER GmbH, BOSCH PACKAGING SYSTEMS AG and the Spanish S. A. MARTIN LLOVERAS - all leading manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the confectionery industry.

In 2015, the cookie production line was introduced, which was developed by the Italian industrial machinery leaders LASER S.R.L, TECHNO PACK S.R.L and the Bulgarian KASI TEMPRA PACK LTD. Developed by the Bulgarian KASI TEMPRA PACK LTD.

In order to achieve and maintain a perfect production technology, only high quality ingredients with guarantee of origin may be used: hydrogenated vegetable oil, cocoa mass, skimmed milk powder, natural cocoa powder, defatted coconut flakes, peanuts, hazelnuts and walnuts, emulsifiers, dried fruits and all other ingredients necessary to maintain the high quality of wafers and cookies.

The packaging of the products is developed in cooperation with foreign designers and printed by high-tech precision printing houses in Poland and abroad. The packaging meets all EU standards and requirements.
