The roots of Vinprom Peshtera and its history

Vinprom Peshtera was founded in 1939 in an area with traditional viticulture and wine production. Since 1998, the wholly private company Vinprom Peshtera AD has invested in the development of its own brands of spirits, such as Flirt Vodka and Black Ram Whisky, which confidently hold leading positions in terms of quality and market share. These brands have been developed in accordance with European standards for quality and production control and are in demand in the markets of Europe, America and Asia.

After 2000, the company began to invest extensively in modern production facilities in accordance with EU standards. Today Vinprom Peshtera AD is one of the leading producers of wines and spirits in Bulgaria. It has its own vineyards, winemakers and modern technology for the production of wine, rakija, vodka, whisky, mastika (traditionally aniseed spirit), menta and other spirits.

VP Brands exports spirits and aged wine distillates not only to Germany but also to Great Britain, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, USA, Panama, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Moldova. The company also exports high-quality bulk and bottled wines to Japan, Canada, USA, Great Britain, Spain and Greece.

Preserved traditions and modern knowledge

Vinprom Peshtera AD owns and processes more than 15 000 decares of vineyards in the regions of Saedinenie, Yambol and Burgas. The company's catalog of varieties includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc and other varieties. The cultivation, processing and quality control of the vineyards is carried out by a team of expert oenologists and agronomists who are systematically trained and apply the latest international practices. In each vineyard, VP Brands uses about 60 decares to experiment with a new grape variety, which is tested and evaluated annually by oenologists and consultants.

Vinprom Peshtera AD cooperates with over 200 producers throughout the country, using additional vineyards of more than 100,000 decares. A team of qualified in-house experts monitors and advises on the cultivation of all crops according to the highest quality standards.
VP Brands is the first company in the industry to establish its own agricultural department in 2000. Its main activity is to provide methodological and technical support to cooperatives and tenants to ensure high quality grapes. The company buys the Red Muscadine, Rkatsiteli, Pamid, Dimyat, Muscat Ottonel, Ugni Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties nationwide.

Peshtera goes into the future with innovation and lead

Meanwhile, Vinprom Peshtera AD has one of the most modern production facilities for high quality alcoholic products in the country. All of them have been completely renovated in recent years or built from scratch using the latest developments in technology and research. The experience, diligence and innovative technology used at every stage of the company's development have contributed to the fact that VP Brands is now one of the most modern companies for the production of wine and spirits in Bulgaria. The company invests annually in quality control systems throughout the entire production process. Many of its successes are due to its own development work and know-how in the field of distillation, blending and storage of Bulgarian spirits and Bulgarian wine.

The production of Vinprom Peshtera AD's high quality products takes place in 4 modern production facilities in the city of Peshtera. The factories are equipped with the highest class technological equipment, which guarantees high quality of the products, while meeting the strictest criteria of product safety.

The company believes that the use of the latest technologies and products of the highest quality goes hand in hand with the preservation of long-standing traditions and techniques in the production of raki, vodka, mastika (traditionally aniseed spirit), wine and all other alcoholic products.
