Among the approximately 800 exhibitors were the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and a whole range of companies from Bulgaria. Among them was also represented the winery Bononia.

Diverse fair on the subject of hunting and dogs and more

Over time, the range of topics covered by Jagd und Hund has become increasingly diverse and multifaceted. Thus, the fair is a meeting place for hunters and breeders of hunting dogs, as well as an attraction for those interested in hunting and fans of hunting dogs. However, bird of prey demonstrations presenting bird hunting will also take place and there will be an off-road vehicle course. In addition, in a separate area everything is represented around the topic of fishing. Furthermore, the friends of country and hunting fashions will get their money's worth. Moreover, culinary aspects take up a large space. For them, the Wild Food Festival has been set up in its own hall for the first time in 2019.

Presenting: Hunting tourism in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian stand was also about hunting tourism. Bulgaria has a lot to offer in this field. The sheer endless forests and mountain landscapes of the country with a huge population offer a variety of opportunities for hunting wild boar, red deer and other game. In addition, there are authentic places, hospitable people and tourist offers on a European level. At the Jagd und Hund there was the opportunity for a first acquaintance. In addition numerous Bulgarian enterprises from these environments presented their performance strength and could convince many visitors of the Balkan country.

Enjoy Bulgarian Cuisine

The attractiveness of the Bulgarian stand was further enhanced by the fact that they had something special to offer in terms of Bulgarian specialties. As in previous years, there was also a mobile restaurant. The leading top chef of Bulgaria, Uti Bachvarov, spoiled the visitors here with the delicacies of the country. Game meat goulash and other delicacies were included. There were also typical Bulgarian sausages of the Madjarov brand such as the spicy, traditional Lukanka. The drinks menu included Bulgarian beer from Almus and wines from the wineries Karabunar from the Thracian Plain and Bononia from the Danube Plain.

Bononia - young, committed Winery

It was a special honor for Bononia to be present at the Bulgarian stand at the Jagd und Hund with its wines. The winery represents in a special way the steep new rise of the once leading wine country. Rediscovered by the Yotov family after 1989, planted with vines from 2013 and with its own wines on the market since 2016, it stands for young Bulgaria that upholds old traditions. At the same time, Bononia is aware of its responsibility for the region. Among other things, the winery invests in vocational training, education and qualification as well as in infrastructure projects. Bononia produces white wines, rosé wines and red wines. The product lines include GOMOTARTZI, ISTAR, Ooh La la Rosé, Bononia Estate Gamza and the extremely sophisticated FIRST VINTAGE series. However, wines from the latter could not yet be tasted at Jagd und Hund 2019, as they are only from this vintage.
