The noble gesture is part of the measures already taken by the shareholders of the company VP Brands International - successor of Vinprom Peshtera JSC - to cope with the crisis in the country. The donation amounts to a total of BGN 300,000 and is intended for the intensive care units of the hospitals "St. Ivan Rilski", "St. Mina", "St. Pantaleimon", "Kaspela", "Palmed" and "St. George". In this way, the company will support medical staff in Plovdiv at the beginning of the pandemic peak, when a wave of patients is expected to arrive at the city's hospitals.

Life-saving equipment is intended for emergency and long-term intensive care of patients with acute respiratory failure of all ages. The protective suits are made in Bulgaria - special antiviral suits with the highest protection class - and these are reusable. They are extremely light, allow the skin to breathe and do not cause allergic reactions. They are made of high quality waterproof fabric with 8100 mm protective waterproofness. The protective suits are sewn with a waterproof zipper and all seams are welded with a special technology, which guarantees additional resistance of the protective suit.

"In addition to the much-needed personal protective equipment, VP Brands International has passed on something else of great value, namely the belief that we are not alone in the fight against this terrible disease. It is faith that gives us wings and the strength and determination to stay at our jobs and fight for the life and health of every patient until the disease is completely defeated," say Plovdiv doctors and medical staff.

"We express our deep gratitude for the work of all doctors, nurses, lab technicians and paramedics who watch over the health and lives of Bulgarian citizens 24 hours a day," said Ivan Papazov, executive director of VP Brands International. He added that the company will continue to fulfill its commitment as part of the overall effort to meet the difficult challenge. "Today, more than ever, we need to be united, and the gesture of compassion is an expression of our solidarity with the people at the patient's side," he added.

In support of the selfless struggle of the Bulgarian paramedics, the company VP Brands International also placed banners on its building in the city of Plovdiv with the text in the national flag: "We support the Bulgarian paramedics" and "Everything will be fine". The inspiration for the message is the appeal of Bulgarian doctors and nurses for the courage and discipline of citizens in these difficult times, while medical personnel stay at their workplaces around the clock and take care of public health.
