The grapes of Rough Day Pinot Noir come from a single vineyard and the vines are on average 15 years old. The plants come from Italy and the grapes have the clone number 115. The yield is low, the grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. After fermentation, 30% of the wine is aged for 6 months in small French oak barrels.

Rough Day Pinot Noir smells of ripe sweet raspberries and strawberries and dried stone fruit. There are also nuanced floral tones of violet, rose and hibiscus. Fruity and lush flavors of cherries, sweet violets and dried fruits with some white pepper and cocoa. Medium tannin and acidity that offer good balance with clear fruit at the end. Bulgarian wine of Pinot Noir in a different and tough style!

The wine pairs well with spicy meat dishes such as Asian ribs and crispy duck, as well as traditional turkey and chicken dishes. Also try it with firm hard cheeses like Emmental and Gruyère. Serve slightly chilled at 16 degrees.

Aging: Hand-picked grapes. After fermentation, 30% of the wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (225 liters).
