This AplauZ Syrah is made from carefully hand-selected grapes of the Syrah vine - the Aplauz level is the highest predicate level at the Villa Melnik winery, which is associated with vigorous yield reduction and very strict grape selection. Grown on the Harsovo vineyards, near Melnik, with a controlled yield for 6100 bottles. Aged for 15 months in Bulgarian oak barriques, this Syrah has a perfect body with enormous potential.

Tasting Notes:
This Bulgarian red wine from the southern Thracian Plain is a single varietal Syrah. Its dark brick red glows in the glass, the aroma is intensely variegated with notes of varied herbs and black tea and a hint of blackberry liqueur. Very round, very soft, very well structured with warm earthy nuances, the elegant body continues on the palate, supported by a tart finish of dry leaves and a hint of caramel.
