Zagreus Kotkini Mogili Syrah is an outstanding, full-bodied Single Vineyard red wine grown organically on its own select vineyard in the Thracian Valley. Its rich and heady flavor comes from the dried Syrah grapes, which are dried for 2 to 3 months in airy rooms at the winery. Then, Kotkini Mogili Syrah is produced using the Amarone technology.

Tasting Notes:
To the eye, there is a brilliant and deep ruby red. Its clear fragrance reveals fine aromas of black berries and cherries with delicate floral and peppery notes. With its quite juicy fruit with slightly nutty tones, spicy hints and a touch of cocoa and licorice, it has an extremely good balance. Combined with its deep tannin structure, it is exceptionally extract-rich and full-bodied. This Zagreus Single Vineyard Kotkini Mogili Syrah is a perfect companion to game, grilled meats, lamb, spicy or strong cheeses or solo.

Region:
The Thracian Plain is part of the large southern Bulgarian wine region. It is well protected from cold winds north of the Balkan Mountains and further from the south central part of the Rhodopes.

Temperate with over 3,000 hours of sunshine during the year and over 110 clear days. Hot, dry summers with warm nights. Soft and warm winters without spring frosts. Sandy-loamy and calcareous soils.
