Tasting Notes:
The Zagreus Reserve Mavrud presents a dark ruby color with copper nuances. This extract-rich Mavrud wine ignites colorful, spicy and complex fireworks on the nose with its attractive varietal aromas. With notes of chocolate, ripe plum, berries, pepper and vine leaves. The taste is spicy, with hints of vanilla, spices and earthy tones. Dense, fresh and dry body with ripe tannins and spicy, velvety and savory finish. Zagreus Reserve Mavrud has an aging potential of two to three years, although these select grapes may be drunk now.

Region:
The Thracian Plain is part of the large southern Bulgarian wine region. It is well protected from cold winds north of the Balkan Mountains and further from the south central part of the Rhodopes.

Climate and soil:
Temperate with over 3,000 hours of sunshine during the year and over 110 clear days. Hot, dry summers with warm nights. Soft and warm winters without spring frosts. Sandy-loamy and calcareous soils.
